Two dead after Russian robot attack on Kyiv

The Russian robot attack hit the Ukrainian capital Kiev overnight, resulting in the death of a father and his son.

They were found in the rubble after a downed robot fell on a residential building.

At least three more people are said to have been injured in the attack.

Furthermore, ten are said to have been injured in a Russian drone attack against Kherson in southern Ukraine, with serious injuries to an elderly man, according to The Kyiv Independent.

13 injured in Kursk

Further north, Ukraine in turn continued its counteroffensive on Russian territory near the city of Kursk during the night.

According to the governor of the Russian region Alexey Smirnov 13 people were injured, two of them seriously, when a downed robot from Ukraine fell on an apartment building in Kursk.

The military of Ukraine has not yet commented on this.

Russia is reported to have evacuated over 76,000 people from the region in recent days.

Putin furious

Ukraine surprised by advancing into Russian territory on Tuesday, and has since had success near Kursk.

Something that should have caused Russian President Vladimir Putin to go to the roof, according to information The Moscow Times.

On Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented for the first time on the counter-offensive, which he described as a way to “move the war into the territory of the aggressor”.
