Two people have been found dead in a car in the industrial harbor in Malmö.
The car had driven into the water and was rescued by the emergency services.
– Then we found two deceased people, says Magnus Lefèvre, officer on duty at the police.
The alarm came in to the police shortly before 6 pm on Thursday evening. A car had driven over the edge of the quay and ended up in the water.
During the night, the police announced that two dead people had been found in the car. Relatives have been notified.
Investigated as murder
The police are investigating the incident as a murder, but write that it may “change depending on what emerges in the investigation”.
– Until we are sure of what happened, we cannot rule anything out, says Magnus Lefèvre.
At the moment there are no suspects and it is not known how the car ended up in the water.
– We have some investigative measures left before we can fully clarify what happened, says Magnus Lefèvre.
Among other things, film material must be reviewed and a technical investigation carried out.
