Norfolk OPP have charged four people following two separate intimate partner violence investigations.

Officers were sent to a Norfolk County address at about 8:30 pm on July 25.
Upon arrival, police learned that two people had become embroiled in an argument and officers saw one person physically assault the other, police said.
A suspect was taken into custody without incident.
Officers later learned that the assailant had allegedly been physically assaulted prior to the arrival of police. As a result, the other person was also charged, police said.
A 24-year-old and 27-year-old, both of Brantford, have been charged with spousal assault and being intoxicated in a public place. They are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a future date.
Officers were also sent to a Norfolk County address at about 4:49 am July 26 to investigate an assault.

Upon arrival police learned that two people had become involved in a dispute which became physical resulting in minor injuries.
Following an investigation, police took both people into custody.
Police have charged a 22-year-old Norfolk County resident with spousal assault causing bodily harm. A 30-year-old Norfolk County resident has been charged with spousal assault.
Both accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a future date.
