It was in February that the three men were arrested after a car chase, in which another car was shot at. Three men were in the pursuing car and two of them are now being sentenced for the shooting.
The district court makes the assessment that the man who shot and the man who drove the car carried out the attempted murder together. However, it is not considered that the third man who was in the car acted criminally. He is therefore acquitted. The three were also suspected of serious weapons offences, but the district court chooses not to assess it separately, but allows it to be included in the suspicion of attempted murder.
Acted completely without consideration
The other two are sentenced to twelve years in prison each. The shots hit the car being chased and a nearby residence. The shooting happened in the afternoon in heavy rush hour traffic. The district court considers that the perpetrators acted without regard to the risks and that it is an aggravating circumstance that affects the length of the sentence.
