Two North Perth residents face drug-possession and trafficking charges after Perth County OPP officers searched Listowel home last week.

On Sept. 20, provincial police, their Huron-Perth community street crime unit and the West Region emergency response team executed a search warrant at a home on Krotz Street as part of an ongoing drug investigation in Perth County that began in the summer.

As a result of the search, police reportedly seized suspected methamphetamine and a Can-Am utility vehicle investigators suspect was stolen.
A 40-year-old North Perth man was charged with possession and trafficking of methamphetamine, altering, destroying or removing a vehicle identification number, and breaching a conditional sentence. He was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing.
A 34-year-old North Perth woman was also charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine. She has been released from custody and is scheduled to attend court on Oct. 23 to respond to the charge.
