Two people are facing drug and weapons charges after police stopped a vehicle in Dunnville on Tuesday.
Members of the Haldimand and Norfolk Community Street Crime unit saw someone in a vehicle who they recognized was wanted on an outstanding warrant and they did a traffic stop, police said.
A search of the person and the vehicle found suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with cash and two prohibited knives.
A 38-year-old man from West Lincoln Township and a 28-year old woman from Port Colborne each have been charged with two counts of possession of a drug for trafficking, two counts of possession of a restricted weapon and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
The man was also charged with two counts of failure to comply with a release order and failure to comply with probation.
Both were released from custody and will appear at the Cayuga Court of Justice next month.
