Staff intervened and called police. The youth did not need medical assistance, but the woman was in obvious medical distress when officers found her and she was taken to hospital.

“It is believed that her medical state observed at the time was a contributing factor in the erratic behavior and earlier assault,” police said. “The accused in this matter was involved in other nearby incidents on that same date, consistently demonstrating the same erratic and irrational behavior.”

The woman was arrested March 12 and charged with assault and breaching a probation order, police said.
