So Far Two Local Candidates Have Been Nominated In The Haldimand-Norfolk Riding: Conservative incumbent Leslyn Lewis and Liberal Challenger Colin Walsh.
After the retirement of longtime conservative mp diane finley, lewis was electronic to come back Haldimand-Norfolk in 2021. Lewis Vieud for the Leadership of the Party in 2020 and 2022, Finishing Third Both Times.
In Dunnville Resident, Lewis has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto and A Master’s in Environmental Studies From York University. She is also a graduate of Osgood Hall Law School, where she received a phd.
She Started Her Own Law Firm Prior to Being Elected As A Member of Parliament.
Colin Walsh – Liberal
Walsh works as a grade 7 and 8 french immersion teach At St. Joseph’s Elementary School in Simcoe. He has lived in norfolk country for more than a decade.
He has more than a dozen years of experience as an educator, school sports coach, and form Ontario english catholic teachers’ association representatives.
“This community has given so much to me and my family,” he Said. “It has shaped our values and supported us through life’s milestones. I feel a deep sense of responsibility to give back and ensure that the voice of Haldimand-Norfolk are truly represented at the Federal Level.”
