Six construction workers who were on the bridge when a freighter caused it to collapse early Tuesday morning are presumed dead, according to police.
After nearly two days of searching, local authorities were able to confirm that the remains of two people were found in the Patapsco River near the bridge.

Two more construction workers were rescued from the water shortly after the crash. One was taken to hospital with “very serious injuries” according to the emergency services.
