Perpetrators forcing their way into the villas of families with small children and shooting wildly – when all boundaries seemed to have been crossed, the violence became even worse.

Now three people have been murdered within the space of 25 hours.

A 16-year-old boy from Linköping is sitting in a taxi.

In his pocket he has a magazine, in the tailgate of the taxi is the weapon that belongs to it.

He has, according to the suspects, just shot dead two women in a villa in Tullinge in southern Stockholm. One of the victims was only 20 years old.

A famous Swedish artist and his family with several small children live at the address.

When the police stop the taxi, the 16-year-old desperately tries to escape but he, and the taxi driver he was traveling with, are arrested. Afterwards, the police find what they think is the boy’s vomit inside the taxi, according to Aftonbladet’s information.

Now the 16-year-old is being held on suspicion of the double murder – another minor who is believed to have been hired to injure and kill in the ongoing wave of violence.

25 hours before the shots echo in Tullinge, the police have just been reached by several alarms from the Stockholm suburb of Västberga, about 14 kilometers away.

Residents call in about shots fired at a villa in the usually quiet area.

When the police enter the residence, they find a lifeless man. Next to him is reportedly his wife with one of the couple’s two small children in her arms. The wife is also shot.

A short time before, one or more perpetrators forced their way into the home of the family with young children and opened fire.

Without caring who is hit, several shots have been fired into the house.

The 40-year-old man was later pronounced dead. His wife has to undergo surgery for her injuries. One of the couple’s two small children is also slightly injured by one of the many bullets.

An informant told Aftonbladet after the murder that a new limit had been crossed when you force your way into a villa and shoot wildly at those you see.

– It will only continue like this, says the source.

25 hours later, the words become true.

Both the double murder in Tullinge and the shooting death in Västberga are believed to be connected to the ongoing gang war between the two phalanxes of the now split Foxtrot network.

Foxtrot leader Rawa Majid and his former right-hand man Ismail Abdo have gone from friends to bitter enemies. In their struggle to destroy each other, they have turned on each other’s relatives.

But since the immediate families of the gang criminals have in many cases already fled their homes, they are now targeting people further out into the periphery.

The couple in Västberga who were shot at on the night of Thursday are a family with small children who are only believed to have a weak connection to a person who is involved in the gang war.

The same thing in Tullinge. A famous artist lives there with his family.

The only connection that exists is that a person at the address is related to a man who is a network criminal.

But neither the victims in Tullinge nor Västberga themselves have any connections to crime.

– You don’t shy away from shooting innocents now, as long as you believe that what you are doing hurts the opponent, says a source.

Police chief Carin Götblad says that the last month’s escalation of violence is frightening.

– It’s terrible how you constantly push the boundaries. We see how the ruthlessness crosses new boundaries, both in terms of victims and in terms of the exploitation of young perpetrators.

Since the latest wave of violence began, many have been injured and killed.

A mother has been shot dead. A young man on his way to his job in home care has been killed in his stairwell. A young woman has been blown to death in her own home.

Can this be reversed?

– I think we can do it if everyone works together. But how quickly depends on how much we are all prepared to invest in the preventive work. That doesn’t show results right away, that’s why it’s so hard to hold on and persevere, but that’s how you break crime. And I think we will break this because we are still a stable and rich society and a well-educated society, says Götblad.

The limits are constantly being pushed forward, has the last limit been crossed?

– I hope so, but then a new border is crossed that you didn’t think existed. But we are doing everything we can to stop this.

The 16-year-old who is suspected of having murdered the two women in Tullinge escaped from an HVB home on the same day as the murder according to information to SVT.

He has a checkered past and has previously been placed in a SiS home. When he was taken into custody as a 14-year-old, the court stated that “despite his young age, he has a solid background in crime and violence.”

He appeared then, in 2021, with the police in a total of 28 cases, including crimes such as robbery and assault.

The 16-year-old told himself that he was given free drugs, money and personal protection by criminal gangs.

How the 16-year-old from Linköping was recruited to the ongoing wave of violence, or by whom, is still unclear.

But according to Aftonbladet’s information, the taxi in which he tried to escape after the crime must have been ordered by a person in Turkey, which suggests that he was hired by someone higher up in the hierarchy.

The 16-year-old boy is now arrested on suspicion of murder.

No one has yet been arrested for the murder of the 40-year-old man in Västberga and the attempted murder of his family.
