The highway blockade was a response to a call from farmers’ action group Agractie to the Dutch to show solidarity with the farmers by stopping work for 15 minutes on Friday 15 July at 3 p.m. Traffic was stopped in all kinds of places in the country, for example on highways. It was already known that this action had been carried out at another location on the A28, near Elspeet, and also on the A1 and A50.
