French police have detained two people suspected of having links to Abdesalem Lassoued, who was shot dead by police last week after the terrorist act before the match between Sweden and Belgium, reports the AFP news agency.
Two Swedish men were killed in the terrorist act and a third was injured.
The two people who have now been arrested live in the Paris area are said to have been part of the Belgian investigation into the terrorist act. Two more people who were part of the investigation have previously been released.
On Monday, a first court hearing was held and the two people risk being prosecuted for being members of a terrorist organization.
Details regarding the persons’ possible connections to Lassoued are to be investigated further and they are to be kept in custody in the meantime.
