Two men have been arrested after the murder in Skärholmen on Wednesday.

According to information to Aftonbladet, there is evidence linking them to the crime scene.

One of them must belong to the “Vårberg side” in the internal conflict currently taking place in the area.

It was at eight o’clock last Wednesday evening that automatic fire rattled at the Skärholmen subway station in southern Stockholm.

The police were quickly on the scene after the alarm about the shooting.

The younger man, who according to Aftonbladet’s information is a 29-year-old gang criminal man, later died from the gunshot wounds.

According to Aftonbladet’s information, the 55-year-old is believed to have met by mistake. He was some distance away from the other man and is said to have been hit in the upper body. His injuries are not described as life-threatening.

According to Aftonbladet’s experience, about 20 shots should have been fired at the scene.

Involved in ongoing conflict

Two men have now been arrested on suspicion of murdering the 29-year-old.

It should be a man in his 35s and a man in his 20s, according to information to Aftonbladet. Both appear under several points in the load register.

The police can neither confirm nor deny Aftonbladet’s information about the arrested men.

– I have no information about that, says Rebecca Landberg, press spokesperson for the police in the Stockholm region.

The younger of the arrested men is heavily criminally charged and has been convicted of drug offenses on several occasions.

He has strong connections to a criminal gang in Söderort according to a personal investigation in Södertörn district court.

In the internal conflict that is currently going on in the area, he is supposed to be connected to the phalanx called “Vårbergsidan”.

The murdered 29-year-old was a leading person on the other side, the so-called “Skärholmen side”.

The police’s theory is that the motive for the murder last Wednesday evening is precisely the control over the drug trade in the areas, according to information to Aftonbladet.

The personal investigation of the now arrested man in his 20s was carried out in February this year. In connection with the fact that he was prosecuted for minor drug offenses and violations of the Knife Act.

Leading person in the area

The 29-year-old who was shot dead was also well known to the police. In the past ten years, he has been convicted of a series of drug crimes.

Together with three others, he was also sentenced to three years in prison after a man was kidnapped and beaten in the spring of 2022. Last fall, the Svea Court of Appeal acquitted the 29-year-old of the suspicions.

The 29-year-old was also known in Skärholmen, where he controlled the drug trade on behalf of the Vårby network, according to Aftonbladet’s information.

In addition to the Vårby network, to which he was counted as belonging by the police and in Aftonbladet’s major gang review, he has previously also had close connections to the Vårberg-Skärholmen network which acted in those very areas.

Allies with the Valley Network

The Vårby network, with branches on both sides of the Vårberg conflict, is considered to be allied with the Dalen network, which Aftonbladet previously reported on.

There is the leading person who is usually called “The Greek”, a 24-year-old man who is abroad. He is one side in the larger conflict.

The other side is led by Rawa “Kurdish Fox” Majid, who leads the Foxtrot network and, among other things, allied himself with the Bridge Network.

The police themselves have confirmed that the two are the main antagonists in the ongoing conflict, which is considered to be about who should have control over drug sales, in and outside of Stockholm.
