Washington DC, the capital of the USA, witnessed two armed attacks during the night. Metropolitan Police Department Andre Wright announced at a press conference that the attack was first carried out on Lebaum Street and 7 people were injured.
Noting that they received a report that a 12-year-old boy was injured by a gun on another street, Wright noted that a total of 8 injured people were not life-threatening.

Wright stressed that the two attacks could be linked due to the proximity of the two streets. Eyewitnesses stated that the attackers entered the crowd in a black vehicle and opened fire randomly.
