Rasmus Paludan planned to burn a Koran in the Norrby district in Borås on 23 April. Two men are now suspected of having prepared an assassination attempt on the Danish-Swedish politician.
The two men are said to have placed four Molotov cocktails in a nearby staircase during the visit.
-These were filled with flammable liquid and my opinion is that they wanted to harm either government personnel or Rasmus Paludan. They would have caused great damage if they had been blown up, says prosecutor Joel Pollnow to SVT Nyheter Väst.
