Elon Musk announced on his Twitter account that Apple threatened him to “remove Twitter from the App Store”. Musk also made some statements about Apple.

Sharing from his social media account, Elon Musk announced that Apple, one of the biggest advertisers of Twitter, has withdrawn most of its ads. Musk: “Does Apple hate free speech in America?” asked the question. In another tweet about 30 minutes after this post, Musk claimed that Apple threatened him to “remove Twitter from the App Store”. Saying that he does not know the reason for this threat, Twitter CEO Musk stated that “this does not sound biased”, implying that Apple is conspiring against him.

In addition, Musk stated that Apple secretly collects 30% tax on all application purchases, stating that they both earn money from applications and try to restrict freedom of expression.

Apple officials have not yet made a statement about Musk’s claims. It remains to be seen whether Twitter will be removed from the App Store in the near future.
