One of the world’s largest live broadcast platforms Twitch made a sexual content update and removed the “Team Broadcast” feature.
Twitch is updating its approach to sexual content on the platform. As part of these changes, the streaming platform will now allow some previously banned content as long as it has a label that clearly warns viewers about the content. Announcing that dances such as twerk, friction dance or pole dance will now be allowed without a label, the company also announces that “fully exposed female breasts or genitals or hips drawn within the scope of a visual work, not real ones, are now allowed with a label, regardless of gender.” In this respect, ““There is a thriving artist community on Twitch and this policy was overly punitive.” The company also announces that they will allow content that deliberately highlights the breasts, hips or pelvic area, even if they are fully clothed. “Publishers had difficulty determining what was forbidden and what was allowed, the old Sexually Explicit Content policy was not in line with industry standards and resulted in female streamers being disproportionately penalized.” The company, which says and makes the new policies more understandable, is currently receiving both good and bad feedback on this issue, but It is important to remember that everyone decides what to watch on the platform. If you do not want to see certain content, it is up to you not to direct the algorithm to that side or to block it. More details about this Here It is located.

Regarding the removal of the “Team Broadcast” feature, Twitch officially stated the following: explained: “In a statement at TCLV in October, Dan shared our commitment to making collaboration on Twitch easier and more effective.
While giving information about the Co-Broadcast tool, which we plan to launch in 2024, Dan mentioned features that make broadcasting with friends easier, such as joint chat, joint watching and favorites list. We have been opening the beta testing version of the Co-Publishing tool to all publishers for several weeks.
Partners, Affiliates and all other publishers have access to this version. When we launched the Team Broadcast feature in March 2019, which allows up to four broadcasters to broadcast live together and viewers to watch them in a single window, our goal was to improve collaboration between broadcasters. Our community loved the idea of co-streaming, but Team Broadcast use by Partners was below our expectations (less than 1% of Partners used this feature).
Partners using the Team Broadcast tool complained that it was not very useful due to the lack of features such as flexible interfaces and collaborative chat. Viewers also gave feedback that the quad view, which shows multiple game angles, made the viewing experience difficult. Based on this feedback, and because the Collaborative Broadcast product has now reached a certain level of maturity, we have decided to retire the Team Broadcast feature. Starting January 17, Team Broadcast will no longer be available.
We recognize that shared experiences and collaborations are fundamental to streamers’ success, and we aim to make them a more central part of the Twitch experience in the future. In addition to supporting the same type of limited collaborations as Team Broadcast, Co-Stream also allows for broader use across more publishers, categories, and broadcast setups.
A more flexible product that gives the publisher more control over collaborations and how they translate into broadcast. Next year, we’ll be adding unified chat, unified tracking, and a host of other improvements that will make these collaborations even better and more effective.
This may sound like bad news for broadcasters using Team Broadcast. You may ask why we haven’t continued Co-Broadcasting as we continue our efforts to improve the Co-Broadcast product. This is because the technology supporting Team Broadcast is outdated and requires significant investment.
Based on your feedback, we chose to focus on the Collaborative Publishing product, which is a more robust, flexible and effective tool, rather than using our resources to maintain a product that does not provide the benefit we intended for the majority of publishers. We believe this will provide publishers with better and more effective solutions.
If you are a streamer who frequently uses the Team Broadcast tool to this help article We recommend you to look. Here’s how you can use the Collaborative broadcast tool for collaborations like those you’re used to from Team broadcasting. If you are an Affiliate who dreams of one day using Team Broadcast, you have beta access to the Collaborative Broadcast product, which offers similar capabilities and more. The information you need to get started Here you can find.
As always, we look forward to your feedback. Please share your ideas and comments on additional collaboration features and other topics you would like to see. UserVoice Let us know via.”
