Twitch streamer works hard, is more successful than ever in 2022 – But she is dead sad and completely exhausted

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The Twitch streamer QTCinderella (28) managed to make a name for herself as a successful streamer on Twitch in 2022. Her viewership has increased by 70%, she has hosted successful events and is finally more than just “Ludwig’s girlfriend”, but she is not happy about it. On the contrary: she is worse than ever, she says in a YouTube video. The reason for this is the constant cases of swatting, which she was exposed to alongside Ludwig Ahgren.

How successful was QTCinderella 2022 on Twitch? Pretty successful: All the statistics of the streamer QTCinderella point steeply upwards:

  • It averages nearly 5,900 viewers when on air. This is an increase of 72% compared to the previous year. Their viewer hours also jumped by 45%.
  • In particular, the “Streamer Awards” event in March 2022 was a huge success for the 28-year-old. It had 381,000 viewers at its peak and the awards were a big topic on Twitch.
  • But with success came many problems.
  • YouTuber wins streamer of the year award and is attacked “That’s manipulated!”

Streamer says: She was often introduced as “Ludwig’s girlfriend”.

The streamer says: In a YouTube video with Anthony Padilla, QTCinderlla talks about “the darkest time of her life.” She tells how hard she had to work to make a name for herself: for a time she was known only as “Ludwig’s girlfriend” and was presented as such.

She says: That’s exactly why she never wanted to be with someone from the industry. But the guy is just too cute.

Now it’s like this: If both streamed and Ludwig said in his stream that he was hungry, 500 people would say to her in her chat: “Make Ludwig a sandwich.”

Twitch streamer Ludwig Ahgren already had his big break on Twitch in 2021 – with a “Subathon” from March 14 to April 13, 2021, the 27-year-old broke a significant record. Ludwig has now had his good name silvered with a YouTube deal and is considered one of the innovative, clever minds in the streamer scene.

But the success that QTCinderella is now having with its own events and streams does not make them happy:

I think it’s only a matter of time before I quit because I’m losing my mind. My therapist says he’s never seen an industry cause as much trauma as this one.

Streamer says: She wakes up in the night and shakes Ludwig thinking they’re being swatted

How are their problems expressed? The streamer says she and Ludwig were “swatted”. People call the police and say there is a dramatic situation, such as a hostage situation, and want the police to storm an apartment.

In 2017, an innocent and actually uninvolved man was shot in such a swatting incident.

    QTCinderella says:

“We got swatted and I had some pretty traumatic things that happened in my life […] Since then, I’ve had a sinking feeling in my stomach every time a car drives past our house – or when a light outside comes on. As soon as I hear helicopters, I get this feeling. There were times when I woke up in the middle of the night and shook Ludwig thinking we were being swatted, but there was nothing.”

The streamer says she doesn’t know when she’ll be able to sleep through the night again. She has more suicidal thoughts than ever before in her life. It’s all very frightening.

Ludwig and QTCinderella were swatted 3 times during Subathon 2021

In one scene she describes what it’s like to be swatted:

It’s Easter morning, half past four, it’s day 27 [bei Ludwigs Subathon], I am exhausted. I think to myself: I can go to sleep. I wake up at 5am and the lights are so bright through my bathroom window that they illuminate the whole room. I’m frozen in my bed and all I hear is, “This is LAPD, come out with your hands up.” And every time you walk out of there, you’re like, If anyone flinches, I’m dead. It’s like that many weapons – every single time. They never bring fewer guns. I’m the only one awake and I have to wake everyone else up. I walk past a window and they freak out on the megaphone, “Come out! We’re going to shoot, we’re going to shoot!” so I fall down and crawl […]”

The segment in the video starts at about 20:43 minutes:

There is no mention of swatting in the twitch stream

This puts additional strain on the streamer: What particularly upsets QTCinderella is that the scene is the third time they have been swatted, and at times by the same cops, and no one even bothers to warn them.

The problem is also that you then have to pretend in the stream that everything is normal. Because talking about being swatted would give people satisfaction. At the moment, people are not talking about Swatten in public.

In the scene, QTCinderella had to explain why she interrupted Ludwig’s stream while swatting and said: She tripped over a cable when she wanted to bring Ludiwg an Easter present.

Twitch: Who were the first successful streamers?

This is behind it: Apparently, swatting is a much bigger problem than the public realises, with streamers covering it up to avoid encouraging copycats.

If Ludwig was swatted three times alone during his streaming marathon in March/April 2021, one can understand that it puts an extreme strain on streamers – especially since the situation seems to be much more drastic in big cities like Los Angeles than in places where streamers tend to be isolated and have a more personal relationship with local law enforcement.

Life is tough for streamers with the perpetual sexualization that QTCinderella also shares, but for streamers dating one of the platform’s top streamers, swatting seems to be a particularly heavy burden.

The streamer Adept, who was also with a big streamer, once said this:
