The TV total WOK World Championship took place on November 12th. This year there were two four-person woks, in which well-known streamers and YouTubers from Germany sat. However, both teams failed to secure a place on the podium. Trymacs also sustained a knee injury.
How did the WOK World Cup go for the streamers? Two teams of streamers and YouTubers took part in the WOK World Cup:
In qualifying, both teams didn’t make such a bad impression. The team around Trymacs and Knossi ended up in 4th place, which was also due to their heavy weight. Knossi wanted to cheat even higher, as he revealed in a talk.
Although qualifying was promising, the final race did not go well for either team.

How did Team 1 fare? In their first race, the team around Knossi and Trymacs were threatened with a fall. To avoid this fall at almost 100 km/h, they had to bring their body parts onto the rink, which slowed them down and cost a lot of time.
It was only just enough for 8th place out of 10, which at least gave them a place in the final. The last two teams were knocked out in the preliminary round.
In addition, Trymacs was already struggling with an injury from rehearsal before the first run, as Knossi explained in an interview. After the fall it was said that Trymacs had bruised his knee and could not take part in the second run. The streamer announced this via Instagram. Instead, a stuntman stepped in.
But the second run was not crowned with success either. This time the fall could not be avoided and Knossi spent part of the ride completely outside the wok. In the end there wasn’t enough time to play at the top and they kept their 8th place.

How did Team 2 fare? The team around Papaplatte and Rewi only made it to 7th place in the first lap and thus one position ahead of Knossi and Co. In the final they also managed to drive a little faster than their Twitch competition.
In the end, however, they only ended up in 7th place again.
Who won the WOK World Championship in a foursome? Team Germany 3, consisting of ex-luger Johannes Ludwig, actor Felix von Jascheroff, Olympic bobsleigh champion Francesco Friedrich and ex-cross-country skier Evi Sachsenbacher-Stehle, came in first.
Team Germany 2 took 2nd place and Team Germany 1 came in 3rd place. The favourites, Team USA, only took 4th place. Team Burger King from Turkey took 5th place and the Irish team around Joey Kelly 6th place.
What is the WOK World Cup anyway? The WOK World Championship was brought to life by Stefan Raab in 2003 after he had won the Wetten dass..?? offered this as a wager. The participants drive down a bobsleigh run with a sheet steel wok.
The event took place every year from 2003 to 2015. The event was suspended after Stefan Raab retired from active television activities. In 2022 it took place again for the first time.
