Twitch streamer only wanted to pay 18 euros for an excursion

The Twitch streamer Rumathra, known as one of the biggest savers in the German streaming sector, recently experienced an expensive surprise. On a trip that initially seemed harmless, he ended up spending far more than he originally expected.

Who is Rumathra?

  • Wieland “Rumathra” Welte is known on Twitch for his gaming streams in which he plays games like Valorant, League of Legends and Among Us.
  • In addition to gaming, he also offers Just Chatting streams and shares moments from his private life in vlogs.
  • Rumathra caught on Twitchn in 2016. Its popularity grew through collaborations with Trymacs and Rewinside in 2020/2021.
  • Rumathra is also very good friends with the Twitch streamer Trymacs – they both regularly appear together. They took part in the survival show “7 vs. Wild” together and also enjoy spending time together in their private lives.

The participants in the third season of “7 vs. Wild” also include Twitch streamer Jens “Knossi” Knossalla. More about it here:

“He’s the biggest saver on the planet”

What kind of trip was that? In a stream, Trymacs said that Rumathtra traveled from Cologne to Hamburg for an event and took every opportunity to save money.

According to Trymacs, instead of taking the train or his own car, he opted for a cost-effective alternative: a ride-sharing service called BlaBlaCar. For just 8 euros he rode with a pensioner in a Twingo.

Rumathra also kept the costs for his overnight stay in Hamburg as low as possible. According to Trymacs, he slept on the couch of a second pensioner and only paid 10 euros per night.

This extraordinary thrift led Trymacs to call Rumathra “the biggest saver on the planet” – even though the two streamers have already had to pay $700 for a restaurant bill.

    A saver with a 35,000 euro bill

How did the expensive bill come about? Trymacs went on to say that Rumathra had to go back to Cologne after the event in Hamburg. Coincidentally, Marc Gebauer, a well-known watch collector and businessman, was also on the way there.

According to Trymacs, Marc Gebauer offered to take Rumathra with him. He accepted the offer. Trymacs joked that Rumathra probably thought he could save money by not having to buy a train ticket or book another trip with BlaBlaCar.

During the trip, Marc Gebauer was able to convince Rumathra to buy one of his expensive watches. The price for this watch was a whopping 35,000 euros. Trymacs, who told the story on his stream, commented: “The fact that Marc Gebauer was able to sell Rumathra such an expensive watch in just one car ride is insane!”
