Twitch streamer Felix xQc Lengyel bet a lot of money on the winner of a boxing match. But the fight ended in a disqualification, meaning the streamer lost all of his money. He is now correspondingly angry about the action.
Sports betting is a high-risk field and people can lose everything if they engage in such bets. Many people know the Twitch streamer xQc for his sometimes risky ideas.
He bet a lot of money on a boxing match between Dillon Danis and Logan Paul. But because of a disqualification he has now lost everything. The streamer is correspondingly angry.
xQc bet $820,000 on the winner
The Twitch streamer explained that he bet $820,000 on the boxing match between Dillon Danis and Logan Paul. He must have bet on Logan Paul ending the fight with a decision.
It was clear from the start that Danis was the significantly weaker candidate and therefore the victory for Logan Paul, and therefore also for the Twitch streamer, looked pretty certain.
But just a few seconds before victory, Dillon Danis was disqualified. This was ensured by Danis’ decision to abandon the boxing match and instead try to grab Paul, which was a violation of the rules.
How did xQC react? Unsurprisingly, pretty angry. After the disqualification was announced, xQc immediately took to Twitter to share his frustration with the outcome of the fight.
xQc was not only quite upset about Danis being disqualified and his behavior, but also because he lost $820,000 as a result. That’s the equivalent of around 780,000 euros.
In the end it was just a matter of 2 seconds left on the fight clock.
Streamer could have won a lot of money, but sports betting is always high risk
How much money could he have won? Before the fight, some betting sites had Paul listed at +310 odds to win by decision.
Therefore, if Logan Paul had actually ended the fight with a decision, he would have been just seconds away from a payout of more than $3.2 million. That’s around 3 million euros.
High risk when betting: Such sports bets are always high risk and always involve the risk of losing everything. You should therefore not take people like xQc as an example. Basically, you should stay away from such sports betting and gambling. Because most of the time other people earn more from it than you do with any profits.
