Who is Knossi?
Spoiler alert: If you haven’t watched 7 vs. Wild Season 2 Episode 14, you may find the scene below to be a spoiler.
“It was like my body needed it”
What is the speech about? The second season of 7 vs. Wild is coming to an end and Knossi is in a good mood on the morning of the seventh day. Although he misses his family, he also knows that he will see them again soon.
Shortly thereafter, Knossi talks about his time on the island, explains to the viewers that he is one of them and says that is why he survived the time there. He then finds a few emotional words to describe the experience.
What does Knossi say in his speech? In his emotional speech, Knossi says the 7 days were wonderful and he didn’t miss his cell phone. He had such a break, his body needed it. The 36-year-old also emphasizes how important it is to take time for yourself:
That was the complete breakdown for me. No cell phone, no nothing. That was wonderful. That was really nice. It was also a bit as if my body needed it, as if I really wanted it. […] If I turn on my cell phone tomorrow and there comes ‘an appointment here’ and ‘an appointment there’, then everyone can kiss my ass. Believe me, I don’t give a shit, because I realized here that the most important thing is to have time for yourself.

What is 7 vs Wild? This is a survival series on YouTube, in which 7 participants have to survive 7 days in a remote place in the wilderness with a maximum of 7 objects and their clothes on their bodies.
The series is an absolute success. After Season 1 won many fans in 2021, Season 2 continues the triumphal procession. The most recent episode 14 already has 2.7 million views on YouTube almost 20 hours after its release (as of December 22, 2022).
It is not surprising that other content creators are now planning similar formats. For example, Twitch streamer Trymacs created the show “Nerd in the Dirt”, with 7 vs. Wild participant Otto helping him. But while Trymacs tries to survive in the wild, his girlfriend is supposed to play Clash of Clans for him.
