Twitch streamer has been live for 3 years, cries with joy over a new milestone – but some find it worrying

The streamer “emilycc” has been live on Twitch for 3 years. Now she reached an impressive milestone that led to an emotional moment on the stream. But some viewers find this unhealthy.

What kind of streamer is this? Emilycc started streaming in 2016. At that time it mainly showed shooters like Overwatch and Counter-Strike as well as Fortnite from 2018.

The 27-year-old has been live around the clock since November 7, 2021: The stream runs while she sleeps, and she also broadcasts walks with her dog and sometimes even her showers on Twitch. There are only interruptions when the power or the internet goes out, but even then she continues streaming on her cell phone.

The streamer usually has a few hundred viewers and between 1,500 and 3,000 active subs, the paid subscriptions to Twitch. On November 22, 2024, shortly after the 3-year anniversary of her marathon stream, the streamer cracked the 10,000 subscription mark.

Streamer draws the attention of the “King” of Twitch

What’s the milestone all about? emilycc reached 10,000 subs after Kai Cenat, the current biggest streamer on Twitch, noticed her during his own subathon.

Kai Cenat and his guest, musician Benny Blanco, invited Emilycc to a conversation on their stream and paid her respect for her performance. Blanco humorously chastised the streamer for her modesty, declaring, “You are the greatest of all time. I’m sure you’re bad at something, but not this.”

Kai Cenat even called her “the Kobe Bryant” of streaming. In addition, he also got her a conversation with the streamer QTCinderella. She hosts the Streamer Awards on Twitch, an annual event for content creators — and while she couldn’t guarantee Emilycc an award, she promised her “a spot with her name on it” at the ceremony on December 7th.

The appearance caused emilycc’s subscription numbers to skyrocket – just a few days later it reached 10,000.

How do we discuss this? Many users are happy for emilycc. She is finally getting recognition for 3 years of hard work (via X).

However, some people see the whole thing critically. In a post on

But some also wonder how such a long stream can even be possible. The explanation, however, is very simple: although her stream runs around the clock, Emilycc is not present all the time. To this end, she has set up systems with which her viewers can chat even when she is away.

Nevertheless, the streamer is live on Twitch for many hours every day, which not many streamers can say about themselves. However, a German Minecraft streamer can also boast an impressive streak: Legendary streamer has been streaming every day for 8 years – now he reveals when it’s over

There is no end in sight for emilycc’s marathon stream yet. The streamer explains that she wants to stay online as long as possible. And that will likely be for quite a while, because in a so-called subathon, the time of the stream increases with every subscription taken out – so the 10,000 subs have really increased the count.

At events like these, it is often shown that it is not about having the most viewers, but rather about how well content creators can activate their community. But a little push at the right moment also helps: Streamer only has one viewer on Twitch, is nice to him, goes viral – now she has thousands of followers
