Twitch streamer gets engaged, posts photos without his trademark – shocks his fans

36-year-old Jaryd summit1gā€ Lazar used to be a CS:GO pro and is now a successful streamer on Twitch. Now the content creator got engaged and proudly shared the photos, but some fans only have eyes for one detail.

What’s the deal with the trademark? To say that summit1g often wears a hat would be a gross understatement. In fact, until recently, it was an absolute rarity to see the streamer topless.

Now the streamer shared photos of his engagement and stunned fans with the full head of hair hidden under the usual caps.

For former Fortnite streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, blue hair was his trademark.

How are the reactions? On Twitter, where summit1g announced his engagement, the comments are pretty much what you’d expect, with congratulations from friends, colleagues and fans piling up.

Things are very different on Reddit, where the happy news was shared on the LivestreamFail streaming community. The top comment with 1,500 upvotes reads: “Summit has hair under his cap?” and the author is not alone:

  • CrimsonBlossom feels betrayed: “I don’t watch him anymore. I was just looking at him for representing bald guys in gaming.ā€
  • NojoNinja sums up the thought process of many: “He wears so many caps I thought he would be bald underneath.”
  • Why is this such a big deal? Even if some of the comments are probably to be read with a certain tongue in cheek, the 36-year-old is hardly recognizable without his hat and beard at first (fleeting) glance.

For some fans, the sight is probably so familiar that they were not aware that the streamer still has hair under the cap. Others simply assumed that he probably wanted to cover up his hair loss with the hat.

Summit1g refuted this with a Twitter post in mid-March, but those who may not be following the streamer that closely should still have been surprised by the sight of the full head of hair.

Surprisingly, it’s not the first time the sight of hair has gotten a content creator’s community excited. Minecraft YouTuber Dream hid his face for years, causing fans to freak out over just a few strands of hair.
