Twitch streamer distributes “bath water” at gamescom, has to justify herself in tears

Twitch streamer “sarahtoninx9” describes herself as an e-girl and is characterized by humorous and often not entirely serious content. However, when she handed out containers of “bath water” at gamescom 2024, she had to face criticism.

What kind of action was that? The streamer “sarahtoninx9” is still quite new on Twitch. She has been streaming regularly since the end of June 2024 and has already gained over 4,700 followers during this time.

At gamescom 2024, she attracted attention with an unusual campaign: she gave away colorful plastic containers that supposedly contained her bath water.

What was behind it? In a post on X, the streamer explained that she is often compared to the controversial influencer Belle Delphine, who is probably known to many primarily for her “E-Girl bathwater.”

Sarahtoninx9 emphasizes, however, that she does not offer any explicit content at all and wants to clearly distance herself from it. The bathwater campaign is an attempt to make people laugh, and she does not profit from it.

Hardly anyone knows the business of revealing content as well as Twitch streamer Amouranth:

Streamer explains: Bath water wasn’t real

How did the campaign go? Apparently not quite as hoped. The streamer later reported that people at gamescom had gossiped about her behind her back. She also received comments on X in which the action was described as “embarrassing” or “cringe”.

On August 26, sarahtoninx9 finally published a video in which she explained, close to tears, how much it was affecting her to constantly be compared to OnlyFans influencers and that she didn’t know how else to approach the issue.

The Twitch streamer also explains that the bath water was not real: she and a friend filled it into a sink.

For the streamer, it was probably an attempt to be part of a joke that was otherwise made at her expense. She wanted to help shape the narrative, said sarahtoninx9. The hate that rained down on her as a result, however, caught her off guard.

In a later post, however, the streamer added that the whole thing was “really not that deep.” The negative comments, combined with personal problems, had simply become too much for her. But she also knows that she has to learn to deal with the hate (via X).

However, the streamer now has reason to be happy again, as her application to become a Twitch partner has been accepted. This means that nothing stands in the way of a great career as an e-girl on Twitch, even if her law studies don’t work out.

There are women on Twitch who use the streaming platform to turn viewers into paying customers on OnlyFans. However, this has unexpected effects on streamers who themselves have nothing to do with this type of content: German Twitch streamer talks about the consequences of OnlyFans: “The problem is the man”
