Twitch streamer criticizes how much money his colleagues are putting into EA Sports FC: “Disgusts me”

As a Twitch streamer, Carsten aka Elotrix (31) earns his living playing video games. However, there is one game he wouldn’t play even for money: the new EA FC 24, like its FIFA predecessor.

What does Elotrix have against FIFA? As a sports game, the football series doesn’t particularly appeal to streamers anyway. If it also says EA, it’s obviously out of the question for him. However, in a recent stream, Elotrix gives another reason why he is “1,000%” sure he will never play EAFC: “Even if they offered me a placement, I wouldn’t play it.”

For him, the franchise is pretty much the worst thing about Pay2Win on the gaming market. Little football fans have their money taken out of their pockets every year. However, Elotrix not only criticizes the game itself, but also some of its streaming colleagues who make content with it. This also includes his good buddy, MontanaBlack.

The Ultimate Team in particular is causing criticism of FIFA/EAFC:

“Multimillionaires gamble away annual income from viewers”

What bothers him about his colleagues? Elotrix emphasizes that he doesn’t mean any harm towards his Twitch colleagues, but it is “completely surreal” the amount of money being put into the game: “Content creators who are multi-millionaires and then stream annual income every day – not even monthly income, but Annual income – from mere mortal viewers [verzocken].”

The streamer seems to be particularly bothered by the fact that it is portrayed as normal to waste such huge sums of money. He goes so far as to say, “This disgusts me.” You can see a recording of the clip here:

Elotrix says he would never waste the money he earns from his dream job, streaming, on something like that. The streamer – not necessarily known for his calm demeanor anyway – probably has to pull himself together every year not to constantly complain about this behavior.

A colleague who would probably feel addressed by Elotrix is Maximilian Stemmler alias Trymacs. The 29-year-old is often referred to as a “Pay2Win streamer” and often invests huge amounts of money in his games. In 2022 there was a big change of heart, he uninstalled FIFA in the stream and even deleted his expensive team. Now he explains why FC 24 will still be shown on his Twitch channel:
