Twitch streamer buys a Lambo, waits over a year and is then not allowed to drive it

Cars from the Italian manufacturer Lamborghini are popular as a status symbol among Twitch streamers. German number 1 Elias “EliasN97” Nerlich fulfilled his dream of having just such a car, but then an injury caught him at the worst possible time.

What’s the deal with the Lamborghini? EliasN97 announced in May 2022 that he had treated himself to a Lamborghini Urus for just over €300,000, his absolute dream car. Among Twitch streamers, the expensive cars are a sign that you’ve made it. However, you have a long wait.

Thanks to his connections, he was able to reduce the waiting time from two to almost a year, the streamer revealed (via YouTube). In July 2023 the time had finally come. EliasN97 announced on Twitter that the Lambo had arrived in Germany and that he could pick it up soon.

But then things turned out differently.

Driving ban 1 week before pickup

What happened to EliasN97? On August 4, 2023, EliasN97 injured himself during a match of his football team Delay Sports, diagnosis: cruciate ligament rupture. For the 25-year-old, who once dreamed of a career as a professional soccer player, then became an e-sports player and finally conquered Twitch, it was the second injury of this kind.

Meanwhile, EliasN97 is on the mend and is currently hosting a marathon stream on Twitch. But the injury had unexpected effects, which the streamer only realized later.

Because the streamer was banned from driving for 3 to 4 weeks – a week before he was finally supposed to pick up his Lamborghini. However, that is the least of the problems, explained EliasN97 (via TikTok).

Due to the cruciate ligament tear, he was also unable to go to gamescom 2023 this year and will not be able to compete in his own Eligella Cup in September either.

Since then, nothing has been seen of the Urus on the streamer’s social media channels. However, EliasN97 had announced that there would be photos and a video of the pickup. So it seems that the car is not in his possession yet.

Mathematically, however, the streamer should slowly be fit enough again to finally be able to receive his dream car.

After all, EliasN97 has a driver’s license and after his recovery he will still have plenty of time to roam around with the Lambo. Anyone who thinks that a valid driver’s license is something like the logical first step before buying a car doesn’t know the twitch streamer xQc yet:
