A few days ago, the well-known Destiny streamer Aztecross described Destiny 2 as microtransaction hell and explained that there were more and more payment barriers in the game. Many players had joined Aztecross’s criticism and stated that they felt forgotten by Bungie.
Twitch streamer Asmongold also watched Aztecross’ video and was shocked by Destiny 2’s monetization practices, claiming the game was “obviously a pay-to-win game.”

Asmongold is busting the idea of spending $414 on a game and buying 12 individual parts. He says: “Gaming in 2023 – it’s crazy.”
Asmongold also thinks it’s pretty crazy that there are also microtransactions in the Bungie Store that would cost him more than $10,000 if he got every item from the store.
Why is a god roll so exciting? In Destiny, a god roll is an item that has the ideal combination of values and properties. Such a weapon or armor is much more effective and also more sought after. Asmongold finds the possibility of being able to buy such “God Rolls” directly via the Batte Pass shocking. He can understand the frustration of the players who are upset about this.
