The Necromancer is finally playable in the Diablo 4 Open Beta. Many fans have been waiting for the class. The well-known MMORPG nerd Asmongold also took a look at the necromancer and is certain: the class is absolutely broken.
Who is the streamer?

Asmongold says: In a compilation on YouTube, the streamer shows how strong the Necromancer is. Not only does he kill elite enemies in one shot, but he’s even faster on the first boss than any other class.
Asmongold relies on skeletons, bone spears and corpse explosions. He literally mows through the opponents and says: “This is disgusting […] it’s like having 5 barbarians with me.”
Already at level 5 he encounters the toughest boss in the game, at least during the open beta. While the butcher claps other players in rows, Asmongold gets an easy win here.
He ends his summary with a satisfied smile and the comment that he’s not even looking. He just click and everything dies.
“The Necromancer is overpowered as hell”
Is the Necromancer really that strong? The consensus among many players at the moment is that Necromancer is tremendously strong. While the other new class, the druid, seems underpowered to many, the necromancer is just rising to the top.
The class is praised on Reddit and other social media. We also asked our colleague Maurice Weber, the best-known German Diablo journalist and self-confessed Necromancer fan. Maurice says:
“The Necromancer is overpowered as hell. I’ve made and mastered a level 25 stronghold alone at level 17 where I’ve failed with other classes in pairs. It’s so OP that it almost affects the fun of the game.”
However, Maurice also notes that Necromancers are often extremely strong at first, but then quickly fall behind once stronger bosses simply sweep away their minions. Without skeletons, necromancers are in a fix.
But the class is ideal for streamers. You don’t have to be careful, you can babble with the chat and the companions then take care of the rest.

does it stay that way That’s difficult to estimate. Blizzard uses the beta primarily for performance tests, but also wants to take balancing into account. But it was said before that the whole game had to be looked at.
Since it is not yet known what exactly awaits us in the endgame and how strong necromancers are there, it is not possible to say what else will be changed. But as long as the necromancer is OP, we have a nice build for you here:
