Musician Raquel Lilly shared a parody of “hot tub” streamers like Amouranth on Twitch, but apparently overdid it enough to get Twitch banned. The Twitch partner sees this as proof that her art act was a success. Other users see it as proof that e-girls are completely out of control on Twitch.
What did the streamer do?
What the heck is that with the cake? Sitting on a cake is a sexual fetish known as cake sitting.
As Vice.com notes, one appeal of “cake sitting” is the tactile feel: It’s “soft and wet and cool and sticky.” It’s also appealing to break a taboo.
Streamer Raquel Lilly appears to be doing a parody of this “cake sitting” by literally squishing a cupcake – it doesn’t look that sensual.
Her stream also included the note “This is art,” in case philistines don’t immediately spot it:
Twitch bans streamer for 3 days
What has Twitch done? The streaming service has temporarily banned Twitch partner Raquel Lilly. But it’s only a 3-day ban, as the streamer says.
One can probably assume that the ban came because of sexually suggestive content. Virtually all bans in the “Hot Tubs” category revolve around this, because the dress code there is relaxed, but you are officially not allowed to behave in a sexually explicit way in this part of Twitch either.
Streamer sees the action as an art act – e-girl satire
What does the streamer say about her spell? The streamer describes herself as a “songwriter and producer”. She apparently planned the performance as a “satire on e-girls” to promote a new song. She says such a ban is part of the exciting life of an e-girl. She laughed for an hour after the action herself.
E-Girls thrive on bans. It’s OK. It’s part of the experience.
The satire was just so good that it was banned. She would be girlbossed too close to the sun. She doesn’t know exactly what they were banned for, but that’s good news.
Her appearance as an e-girl is apparently an ironic performance. Although she has the typical link to Onlyfans in her biography, it does not lead to the payment page, but to a selection of platforms where her music can be purchased.
Twitch streamer pulls naked sex show, only gets banned for 3 days
“Streamers are out of their damn mind”
How do others see the action? From the outside, Raquel Lilly’s action is not seen as satire at all, but as another example that “e-girls on Twitch are completely out of control.”
A Twitter user wrote: They have now completely lost the board.
Since a few weeks ago a streamer had sex live on air and only received a short ban for it, a discussion has been brewing as to why there are only short bans for such things on Twitch – but other people are permanently blocked.
Above all, JiDion’s permanent ban is always a topic in the US community:
