Twisted Metal maker rejects Tencent’s $100M offer

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Twisterd Metal maker allegedly rejected Tencent’s offer to a Chinese company, saying that they had nothing for sale, and therefore rejected it.

Over the past year, Tencent has made a name for itself in the western gaming scene with an aggressive growth and expansion plan. While the Chinese company has been reasonably successful in gaining a foothold in the gaming industry, not all progress seems to have been received with such positive and optimistic optimism.

They turned down the $100 million offer.

David Jaffe, the original designer of the Twisted Metal game series, allegedly turned down a $100 million job offer from Tencent. According to the recent Sacred Symbola+ news, David Jaffe said that Tencent rejected this offer because it is a Chinese company. “I don’t want to do business with such a company, with such a government, and I don’t have a product to sell to China,” he reportedly said.

In fact, the list of studios Tencent has bought is quite long. The list goes from Klei Entertainment (Mark of Ninja, Don’t Starve) to Turtle Rock Studios (Back 4 Blood, Evolve). But Jaff was not interested in adding his name to this list based on his principles. “If you go online in China and write or say something bad, you will be taken off the street,” Jaffe said. For this purpose, it is claimed that Tencent immediately rejected this offer, which seems to have come from its western managers, without thinking.
