In the lives of the couple Sigun and Ingemar, they have returned to one and the same oak. In 2007, they put a sign on the tree to celebrate their love – now it has disappeared without a trace. – The main thing is that I get to keep my husband, says Sigun in Efter fem. Sigun and Ingemar Sandqvist from Skebokvarn got engaged in 1957. When they were on their way to a relative’s to tell them the news, they passed a beautiful oak tree, which they remembered. 50 years later, Sigun surprised his Ingemar at the tree with a rucksack containing candies and chilled champagne. She had instructed her daughter to put it there and took Ingemar for a walk. It was a memorable day for both. – Ingemar knew nothing about this. We sat down and leaned against the oak. And then Ingemar says: “I hope someone will come and see how nice we are”, but no one came. It was a nice moment in any case, says Sigun Sandqvist. The sign was a Christmas present And Sigun continued to surprise. For Christmas that year, she asked the landowner for permission to put up a brass sign on the tree with the text “Champagne Eken”, it was her Christmas present to Ingemar. – I can trust him. He helps me when I need him and I help him. We take turns helping each other. It is a strength that we have each other and we are so happy as long as we get to be together, says Sigun about her husband. “I hope no one snores my man” But one day the oak stood there without a sign and the token of love has disappeared without a trace. Sigun tells in Efter fem what the sign means to her. – It’s a memory, but the main thing is that I get to keep my husband. I hope no one comes and sniffs him, she says. Their daughter Karin Brodin has issued a request on Facebook and now we hope that Efter fem’s viewers can help in the search. Watch the interview with Sigun in the player above.
