All those suspected and arrested in connection with this case, some for two weeks, were brought before the government commissioner, at the military court, shortly before 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14. All including the head of the general directorate of external research, the divisional commissioner Maxime Eko Eko, lieutenant-colonel Justin Danwe, director of operations of the same institution, but also the businessman Jean-Pierre Amougou Belinga, promoter of Vision4 Television and its general manager Bruno Bidjang.

This step is crucial to decide the follow-up of the case with in particular three options: the government commissioner can notify the suspects that they have been placed under a warrant of committal. More clearly, they can directly be sent to prison awaiting trial if the charges against them are deemed sufficient.

Second scenario, they can be referred to the Secretary of State for Defense for further investigation. Finally, they can be released to possibly appear free in the event of a trial, if the court considers that they present sufficient guarantees. As a reminder, five people, relatives or collaborators of Amougou Belinga in police custody for a few days were released yesterday Monday.
