The review committee for radio and television has carried out a review of TV4. The authority is now requesting that the administrative court issue a special penalty of SEK 50,000, as they believe that TV4 must have committed a breach of the rules, which Siren also reported on.

Didn’t show it was advertising
According to the Review Board for Radio and Television, TV4 must have broadcast a segment with Lotto, Joker and Drömvinsten on September 18, 2021 without first showing that it was advertising.
In the detailed grounds for the application, it is stated that the features must have been broadcast on a nationwide channel and thus had a wide spread among the public.

The review board therefore believes that there is a great public interest in maintaining respect for the provision to clearly distinguish advertising from other content and therefore wants TV4 to pay a penalty for the failure.
