TV4 profiler Olof Lundh now says what everyone is freaking out about with the controversial decision on the Super League: “Total chaos”

It is the decision that shakes the entire football world.
Scorned Super League gets right in the EU court against Uefa and Fifa.
Now TV4 profiler Olof Lundh confirms what all football lovers are in awe of.

It was in April 2021 that the Super League was launched for the first time. Several of Europe’s biggest clubs came together to break away and start their own football league.

The fans’ criticism

The initiative was immediately met with massive protests and complaints from football lovers around the world and above all their own supporters put their feet down. Now comes the giant turn that changes everything for the criticized super league.

On Thursday, the European Court of Justice announced its controversial decision, ruling Super League against both Fifa and Uefa, after reviewing their monopoly position. Which now opens up major consequences that can fundamentally shake the entire football world.

Lundh admits

The TV4 profile Olof Lundh immediately vents his great concern and now says what everyone is horrified by.
– This opens up a world of chaos, I would say. Anyone who is absolutely sure of what will happen has no idea about this. No one can be completely sure because no one knows what is going on, he says in an interview with Radiosporten.
– Now a lot of rival organizations can be started. Look at boxing where once upon a time there was one organization that appointed a world champion, now there are well over a hundred organizations where they have different world champions. That’s the kind we can get.

Even in Sweden, this can have fatal consequences.
– It can be total chaos with various competitions. In theory, anyone can start the Allsvenskan. Say that a TV company wants to start its own series, it works now, it didn’t work before. SVT and SR might want to start a football league for men and women and so they run it, in theory it’s completely open, says Lundh to the radio channel.

Olof Lundh is convinced that this will cause ripples throughout the football world and he is also surprised by the European Court of Justice’s decision to uphold the Super League.
– It is clear that it is surprising that they are so clear in going against Uefa and Fifa and the European sports model. It will shake things up, he says when he gets to develop his thoughts in TV4’s “News morning”.
– It is clear that it is nervous for these organizations (Fifa and Uefa), which live on the monopoly.
