For over a year, a well-known TV4 profile has bought sex at Thai massage parlors all over Sweden. The sex purchases were often made in connection with work trips, and on social media the TV4 profile has, among other things, posted selfies with other famous profiles – on the same day he has bought sex.

The TV4 profile has admitted 30 sex purchases, but is charged with more. The evidence against the man includes Swish payments signed with a bank ID – so-called double Swishing – as well as messages to Thai massage parlors where he describes what he wants to do. In the preliminary investigation protocol, it also emerged that the TV4 profile googled “What happens if I stay away”.

On December 19, it was reported that the TV4 profiler is requested to be detained in absentia, and since he has not been able to be reached for service, he will be wanted internationally, something that the prosecutor Per Svensson confirms for Today’s News.
According to information to The Express so the TV4 profile is in a “European country”, and his plan is to stay away until all the crimes are statute-barred.
According to Expressen, the TV4 profile has said that he “does not intend to appear at the trial”.

The lawyer Linus Gardell is a partner in the agency Lewis & Langley Partners. He specializes in criminal cases, and in a comment to Nyheter24 he explains how it can affect the punishment.
– “Running away” or avoiding service does not affect the final sentence, but it can have other consequences. It can e.g. result in the person in question being remanded in custody and remaining in custody even after sentencing. It is also less likely that you can receive a suspended sentence or probation instead of prison.
If a person cannot be reached for service of charges, it may lead to the charges being time-barred and the person thus not receiving a sentence. However, those times can be very long. If it is the case that you have received information about the charges and then stay away, it can be even longer, says Gardell to Nyheter24.
In a previous interview, Gardell answered the question of what punishment could be relevant for the TV4 profile in the event of a conviction.
– The question is whether precisely the large number of crime incidents can be significant. If it is the case that he has not been convicted of a crime before, it may still be the case that he receives a suspended sentence but with heavy daily fines, that actually remains to be seen, Linus Gardell told Nyheter24.

Lawyer Adam Borgwith a past on Sargon de Bassos law firm de Basso, today runs its own law firm Adam Borg Law Firm. He believes in a shorter prison sentence for the TV4 profile.
– The total value of the penalty will probably be determined at a few months’ imprisonment. The penalty will presumably land on a suspended sentence combined with a fairly high number of daily fines or perhaps a shorter prison sentence, Adam Borg has previously told Nyheter24.
