Peg Parnevik29, has been in the spotlight since she was born. As the daughter of Mia Parnevik and the golf pro Jesper Parnevik so Peg is used to the attention. After being successful in the reality show Parneviks, Peg made her debut as an artist in 2016. In the beginning, she had to fight against prejudice and was called “nepo baby” – but in recent years, Peg has become a name of her own to reckon with. She made a commendable performance in So much better, won the Newcomer of the Year award at P3 Gold and has performed at Allsång at Skansen several times.

Among her most famous songs are the super hits Ain’t no saint, Bättre nu (The wedding) and Goodbye boy. In her lyrics, Peg is often very open with her feelings, and she is not afraid to give a boot to both her ex Filip Kaspersen Lamprecht – and his mother Kristin Kaspersen.

The fact that her career has been on the rails lately is not something that Peg has taken for granted.
– I have done so much this year that I never thought I would do in my career. Playing at Lollapalooza is like the sickest thing I’ve ever done. Peg, age 13, had died, haha. But otherwise, my development as an artist, live artist and songwriter, but also as a person, is what I am most proud of, Peg told in 2023 in an interview with the newspaper Café.

In the spring of 2024, it was clear that Peg Parnevik would take a seat on the Idol jury, which was updated with several new members. In addition to Peg, also sits Avicii former manager Ash Pournouri in the jury, just like Katia Mosally and Anders Bagge. Peg’s time on Idol hasn’t been entirely frictionless. In the Peg & Penny podcast if she has her sister with her Penny Parnevik so Peg told us that the production criticized the jury for being too harsh and mean.
– It’s a whole production that says we were hard and mean. Then it’s hard as hell to feel like I did a good job, Peg has told in her podcast.

During Saturday’s episode of TV4’s popular entertainment program, Peg chose to wear a black dress, created by the Swedish designer David Bostrand. The dress belongs to Bostrand’s graduation collection from the school Amsterdam Fashion Institute.

A dress that evoked strong reactions from viewers. Now can News24 reveal that several of the viewers were so upset by Peg’s dress that they chose to report the whole thing to the Board of Review.
“I believe that Peg Parnevik needs to think about HOW she dresses and not sit with a top that shows parts like the breasts when there are actually children sitting there watching idols,” writes a complainant.
“I am sorry to have to write and complain about the dress of the idol jury (Peg Parnevik) today 30/11. I think that as a role model for today’s young girls, she should dress a little better, put on and have her breasts inside the shirt”
“Idol is a family show, so now we think Peg’s outfit has gone too far. You can see most of her body under the minimal (cut-off) clothes. It’s not nice,” writes a third person.
Peg Parnevik herself stands up for herself. In the comment section on her Instagram, she is also met with support from followers who urge her not to take the criticism to heart.
“Keep being yourself Peg Parnevik, no matter how much negative opinion others have about you. You’re gryyyyym,” one person wrote in her comment section.
“Haha you’re the best!! I will,” Peg then replied.
