“Duel: Trump – Harris” is broadcast on TV4 on the night of Wednesday, starting at 3 a.m. It is the first, and perhaps the last, debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris before the Americans go to the polls on November 5.
Much is at stake when the two main candidates in the US presidential election debate each other. The 90-minute televised debate in Philadelphia will also be the first time Harris and Trump are in the same room.
TV4 broadcasts the super debate, starting at 03 on the night of Wednesday.
– When Donald Trump is in a debate, anything can happen, said expert Marcus Oscarsson before the debate on Tuesday’s Nyhetsmorgon.
The state of opinion between the two candidates is incredibly even, which means that the election movement’s probably only meeting between the two candidates could be decisive for the outcome of the election.
That’s how the debate goes
The two presidential candidates will meet without any live audience in place. Trump and Harris will not make any opening remarks, but will have the opportunity to close the debate with a two-minute speech each.
Trump will get to deliver his speech last as he won a virtual coin flip in advance. Kamala Harris, on the other hand, had to choose her position on the stage and chose the right side (left as seen from the stage).
The debaters will not have the opportunity to ask each other questions, that will be left to the moderators, David Muir and Linsey Davis from the ABC.
The debate is 90 minutes long and will include two commercial breaks. Candidates will be given two minutes to answer each question, two minutes to answer statements and a further minute to follow up and clarify their answers.
The microphones will be muted during the debate for those who are not speaking at the moment. The candidates are not allowed to take notes on stage and have not been given any questions in advance.
Before the election, surveys have shown that the economy and migration are the voters’ most important issues.
