TV4 about the camera knock in Let’s Dance: “Not on purpose”

During Saturday’s final of Let’s dance, the stage was stormed by climate activists. Pictures show how one of them gets knocked out by the production’s camera.
– It could have gone badly, says Erik Westberg, program director for TV4.

It was during Charlotte Kalla’s dance performance as climate activists from Restore Wetlands, stormed the stage.

Chaotic scenes unfolded as one of the activists poured green paint over the dance floor, while the other activist, who was holding a banner, was knocked by a crane camera that came flying in the air.

Soon after, they were abducted by security personnel.

“That’s fine with me”

TV4 Nyheterna has been in contact with the climate activists who stormed the stage. Otij Geijder who was hit by the camera says he considers it an accident, and will not take it further.

– It’s actually completely fine with me, I haven’t received any major damage. What is really serious is the sabotage that the politicians are currently doing, and the betrayal of the citizens, he says.

Tina Kronberg, who also stormed the scene, says that the camera incident is not relevant.

– The reason why we are doing the actions is because we are rushing towards a climate hell and a social and economic collapse, she says.

“We are happy that it went well for him”

Erik Westberg, program director for TV4, states that it was not the intention to hit anyone with the camera.

– It was obviously not intentional. There are very clear instructions that, for example, you may not stand up. All numbers are planned down to the smallest detail, if someone appears without warning in a place, it is impossible to stop it.

– We are glad that it went well for him, because it could have gone badly, he continues.
