A large television tower in Kharkiv, Ukraine, has been demolished, a journalist from the AFP news agency reports, after reports of a Russian attack on the city.

Pictures and videos show how the top of the tower breaks off and gray smoke billows from the structure. Kharkiv Governor Oleh Synehubov stated on social media that Russia hit a television infrastructure facility.

Russia’s attacks, mainly against Kharkiv, have intensified recently. The city has been grappling with widespread power outages as a result of the attacks, which have often targeted the power grid and residential areas.
