Le Havre-Paris Saint-Germain marks the first match of the new Ligue 1 season tonight at 8:45 p.m. (Paris time). The match will be broadcast on “DAZN”, the British platform nicknamed the “Netflix of sport”. This new major player in the French championship is now the main broadcaster, broadcasting eight of the nine Ligue 1 matches every weekend. The last match will be broadcast by BeIn Sports. Negotiations on TV rights ended a few days ago with the Professional Football League: 400 million euros annually paid by Dazn, 100 million euros for BeIn Sports. Then we must add 160 million euros for international rights, 40 million also for Ligue 2, that makes a total of 700 million.
