TV profile Ola Wenström’s huge criticism of former colleagues – raging after the big fight in Viaplay: “Egocentric provocateur”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The fight between Bojan Djordjic and Janne Andersson shakes football Sweden.
Now the former Viaplay profile goes on the attack.
“Public pressure meets egocentric provocateur,” he writes.

Jesper Karlsson has shown phenomenal form at club side AZ Alkmaar in recent months, and he has also made a big impression in European tournaments. But in the national team, he has more or less been stuck in Janne Andersson’s freezer, and during the matches against Belgium and Azerbaijan, he only got a total of eight minutes of playing time.

Wenström’s harsh criticism

How does it actually happen? That was Bojan Djordjic’s opening question to Janne Andersson in what developed into an almost historic TV brawl. Andersson raged at the Viaplay expert, and after several minutes of mouthing, the national team captain decided to abruptly leave the studio. Afterwards, criticism has poured in, above all against Janne Andersson, but also against Viaplay and the presenter Niklas Jihde.

Now comes further criticism of the studio – this time from TV profile Ola Wenström. On Twitter, he sends a big boot to his former colleagues, and how everything was managed when the big fight unfolded live.

“Public pressure meets egocentric provocateur. Snarstucken hits easily offended in a studio without control. Then everyone becomes a loser,” he writes on Twitter.

Forced off the channel

Ola Wenström was one of Sweden’s most popular and high-profile presenters for many years, but was forced out of Viasat under high profile almost two years ago. Wenström was poached from leading the Champions League final, and shortly afterwards came the news that the channel broke with the profile. Today, Wenström works at the gambling company ATG, and has several times directed great criticism at his former employer, and the working conditions that prevail. Wenström himself has also been criticized for his way of being during his years on the channel.

Janne Andersson has not yet made a statement the day after the fight. Janne Andersson was accused of being racist towards Bojan Djordjic, when he asked “who do you represent?”. But the national team fought back last night, and said that Janne Andersson definitely had no racist allusions when he hit back at Djordjic.

– I didn’t think that Janne hinted at anything about it. If it has been misunderstood in that way, I want to state in the clearest way on Janne’s behalf that it had nothing to do with it. He discussed the expert role, the player role and the coach role. It had nothing to do with racism. I want to be extremely clear about that. I think that all of you who know Janne also know where he stands on those issues, says national team manager Jens T Andersson.
