In Türkiye, the opposition continues to mobilize more than a week after the arrest, then the incarceration, of Ekrem Imamoglu, the mayor of Istanbul and principal opponent of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. While his political training, the Republican People’s Party (CHP), is preparing for a large gathering on Saturday March 28 on a place in Istanbul, the opposition media are the target of the authorities in power. A television channel was notably sentenced to ten days of interruption of its programs on Thursday.
