The cargo of the Naval Forces Command’s amphibious ships TCG Bayraktar and TCG Sancaktar, which carry humanitarian aid to Lebanon, was unloaded at Beirut Port. After TCG Bayraktar was prepared for evacuation, civilians, most of whom were Turkish citizens, started to be taken to TCG Bayraktar after luggage control.

Among those put on the ship were the elderly, disabled, babies and children.

Turkey’s Ambassador to Beirut Ali Barış Ulusoy and Lebanon Evacuation Task Group Commander Rear Admiral Nihat Baran welcomed those taken on board.

Civilians will be boarded on TCG Sancaktar after the preparations have been completed.

The two ships will depart for Turkey after their procedures are completed.
