Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır made a statement on his social media account about the date of going to space of Alper Gezeravcı, the first Turkish space traveler to serve on the International Space Station (ISS).
Kacır said, “The ‘Ax3 Mission’, in which our first astronaut Alper Gezeravcı will take part, has been postponed to January 17, 2024 due to adverse weather conditions and the change in ‘SpaceX’ plans. We will have to be a little more patient for the exciting journey.”
The date of the first Turkish space traveler Alper Gezeravcı’s departure into space was previously announced as January 9, 2024.
