In a study conducted in Turkey, the participants were asked, “What is your favorite type of soup?” question was posed. According to the results of the survey, head trotter soup ranked first with 23.7 percent.
NATURAL ANTIBIOTIC STORAGE IS AT THE TOP
The research of Areda Survey revealed that head trotter soup, which is also known as a natural antibiotic, is the most preferred soup in Turkey, especially in winter, because it increases body resistance against winter diseases, gives energy and strengthens bones.
In the survey, it was determined that 20.6 percent of women consume head and trotters, while men consume the most with 26.9 percent.
BETWEEN 35-40 YEARS OLD, LIKES HEAD-TROATS MOST
While it was determined that the young population between the ages of 18-24 mostly preferred ezogelin soup, it was concluded that the people between the ages of 35-40 preferred the head trotter soup with a rate of 40.5 percent.
It was determined that head and foot soup is consumed mostly in the Central Anatolia Region with a rate of 35.7 percent, and the least consumed in the Eastern Anatolia Region with 17.2 percent.
HEAD POT IS FOLLOWED BY LENTILS SOUP
In the research carried out with 1,100 people representing Turkey, the most popular soup varieties are;
Lentil soup with 20 percent, tarhana soup with 13.9 percent, ezogelin soup with 13.3 percent, highland soup with 7.4 percent, tomato soup with 5.7 percent and tripe soup with 5.1 percent took place.
