Turkeys Best Games received their awards at Kristal Pixel

In the 10th anniversary of the Crystal Pixel, where the best digital games developed in our country are determined, the developers who were entitled to receive an award received their awards.

The Crystal Pixel Video Game Awards, organized since 2012 with the aim of identifying and rewarding games with original intellectual property developed in Turkey, met with their owners for the 10th time this year. Crystal Pixel 2021, Turkey Game Developers Association (TOGED), Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Copyrights, Yıldız Technical University, YTU Yıldız TEKNOPARK, Hacettepe University, Hacettepe Teknokent, Bahçeşehir University Game Laboratory (BUG Lab), ODTÜ TEKNOKENT Animation Technologies and It was organized in partnership with the Game Development Center (ATOM), The Game Circle and METU GATES.

Domestic Game Industry Meets at Kristal Pixel

The award ceremony, hosted by popular game publishers Tuna “PintiPanda” Akşen and Pelin “Pqueen” Baynazoğlu, brought together the stakeholders of our domestic game industry in different fields such as investment, development and education. In the panel called Game Incubation Centers held before the award ceremony, the development and future of incubation centers from past to present were discussed, and how developers can make the most of incubation centers. At the Experiences of Game Studios panel, the panelists shared their experiences in establishing a studio in Turkey, incorporating and developing games.

Award Winning Games

Mayhem Brawler, developed by Hero Concept, at the ceremony where awards were given in a total of 11 different branches, Best PC Game and Best Console Game, as well as Best Visual Art. Bringing the arcade style of the 90s to the present day, the Beat ’em Up game brought its success to the top with the Game of the Year award at the end of the evening.

Basketball Arena, developed by Masomo, received the Best Mobile Game award. Having achieved great success in the mobile market with the Head Ball game, the company carries the competition and fun of 1-on-1 combat to the basketball courts with its new game. The winner of the Best VR Game award was Naau: The Lost Eye, which blends the action, adventure and puzzle genres developed by Studio Gamebit with physics-based mechanics.
