According to local media reports, Sharif made his first speech in parliament after being elected prime minister.

Sharif, criticizing the foreign policy of the Imran Khan government, reminded that Pakistan was abandoned by its strategic partners and friends and that these countries remained silent on the Kashmir issue.

Indicating that China is Pakistan’s partner in good and bad days, Sharif pointed out the importance of having good relations with Beijing.

Noting that the previous government had attempted to weaken the friendship between China and Pakistan, Sharif said that no one could break the China-Pakistan friendship away from them.

Expressing that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will move forward and the projects will progress faster, Sharif noted that the relations between Beijing and Islamabad will continue forever.

Sharif emphasized the importance of having good relations with Saudi Arabia, Turkey, European Union countries, United Arab Emirates, England and Iran and stated that relations with the USA should be strengthened on the basis of equality.

Expressing that “Turkey and Pakistan have inseparable ties,” Sharif said that Ankara always stands by Islamabad.

Emphasizing that Turkey has made significant progress under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Sharif said, “In the Kashmir issue, Turkey has always stood behind Pakistan and the people of Kashmir. Turkey has always been behind the Kashmiris.” said.

PEACE WISH IN AFGHANISTAN

Sharif expressed that the situation in Afghanistan is grave and said that they should raise their voices for this country.

Expressing that they want peace in Afghanistan, Sharif also emphasized the solution of the Palestinian issue.

Expressing that they want good relations with India, but this is dependent on the Kashmir solution, Sharif said, “We will raise our voices in all forums for our Kashmiri brothers. We will give them diplomatic and moral support.” said.

MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE

Indicating that the minimum wage will be increased to 25 thousand Pakistani rupees, Sharif announced that the pensions of civilians and soldiers will also be increased by 10 percent.

Sharif said that during Ramadan, flour and wheat prices will also be reduced and high electricity prices will be brought to the agenda.

RESPONSE TO IMRAN KHAN GOVERNMENT

Describing the overthrow of the Imran Khan government and the election of the prime minister as a great day for Pakistan, Sharif stated that the previous government was sent through legal means.

Imran Khan’s government fell as a result of the no-confidence vote in the parliament yesterday.

The no-confidence voting session, which started at 11:30 local time on April 9, ended at 01:00 yesterday.

In the vote of no confidence in the parliament, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government received 174 “no” votes.
