The model with global targets will be produced first in Mulhouse, France for the European market, and shortly afterwards at the Chengdu factory in China for the Chinese market.

Orders for the first samples of the 408 product range, which started production at the factory in Mulhouse, France, for the European market started last October. The first versions, which will be sold in limited quantities with the First Edition badge on the hybrid engine option, find buyers in France for 49,850 euros. We can say that this combination, which is offered with hybrid engine dynamics as standard, is the most expensive package of the family.

At the top of the 408 family on the engine side, we come across 225 and 180 horsepower units that can be charged with a cable. The 180 e-EAT8 has a PureTech petrol engine with 150 HP and an electric motor with 81 kW, while the 225 e-EAT8 has a PureTech gasoline engine with 180 HP and an electric motor with 81 kW. Both plug-in hybrid engines transfer their power to the front wheels via an EAT8 8-speed automatic transmission. Both rechargeable hybrid versions have a charging capacity of 12.4 kWh and a power of 102 kW with a lithium-ion battery. The product range also includes a 3-cylinder 130 HP 1.2 liter PureTech internal combustion engine option. With its 8-speed EAT8 automatic transmission and start&stop feature, this engine meets the Euro 6.4 emission norm. A fully electric version will also be offered in the future.
