Turkey’s parliament plans to vote on Sweden’s NATO membership this week, a government source told Bloomberg.

According to the source, it is President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s AKP party and its supporting parties that will submit the application for a vote in parliament.

Turkey and Hungary are the only NATO countries that have not yet approved Sweden’s application to NATO.

In May, it will be two years since Sweden and Finland jointly applied for membership in NATO. And in April it is one year since Finland became a NATO member.
